Ben Brown
Ben Brown was born in Indianapolis, USA in 1983 to a family of modest means. With his father in the computing industry and his mother being somewhat of a musician, it seemed inevitable that Ben would get into some kind of trouble with computers and music. His youth consisted of the usual childhood activities but music and its various influences left the greatest impression.Fast forward to the fall of 2006 when Ben moved to Chicago, both to pursue a graduate degree and also to engross himself in a thriving dance music scene. Along with a hectic schedule of graduate school and work at a 9-to-5, Ben found instant success with his music,gaining bookings at Chicago's finest dance music venues, showcasing his unique style of progressive house. His initial impression on the local scene proved to be an outstanding one and as a result of growing acclaim both as a DJ and Producer, Ben was asked to begin his tenure as a rotating resident at Chicago's biggest name for dance music, Vision Nightclub where he shared nights with some of the best DJs in the world.
Not only did DJ'ing at the best clubs in Chicago give him the opportunity to refine his style and ability as a DJ, but it also drove him to new heights in the studio. One can hear this influence in his productions where the influence of the energy in a club combined with Ben's unique songwriting ability, form a truly unique sound.
Ben's originals, remixes, and bootlegs began hitting public ears in early 2007, garnering support from DJs across the globe, including heavy hitters like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, 16 Bit Lolitas, Sultan, Ferry Corsten, Sultan, Above and Beyond, The Flash Brothers, Kenneth Thomas, Blake Jarrell, Solarstone, Kosmas Epsilon, Eelke Kleijn, Rowan Blades... the list goes on. Ben also has his hands in commercial, film, and video came scoring with current productions in the works for television commercials and the world renown video game company Konami.
The demand for his skills is on the rise, whether it be for his original productions, remixes, or his ability to rock the dance floor as DJ. One thing is for certain: this is only the beginning for Mr. Brown.
